Get ready for an exciting, fun-filled show as “Legally Blonde” takes the stage this March. The musical follows Elle Woods, played by Chloe Rose, a fashionista who follows her ex-boyfriend Warner Huntington III played by Zane Doyle, to Harvard Law School, determined to win him back. Rose shared how she’s “most looking forward to being able to perform for an audience and show them the show that we’ve been working for months to put together”. Her character Elle embarks on an academic journey, where she discovers that she’s capable of much more than just looking good. She soon crosses paths with Emmet Forrest, played by Prakash Landis, a kind and encouraging law student who helps Elle discover herself and what she can really do.

The show provides an unforgettable experience with music, vibrant costumes, and energetic dances. The heart of the story lies in Elle’s transformation from someone who doubts her abilities into a confident woman who learns to use her brain as much as her heart. The bond between Elle and Emmett, along with the friendships Elle forms at Harvard, plays a great role in the show’s heartwarming message of self- worth and believing in oneself. First time director AJ Longhurst expresses how “the most exciting thing about stepping in as director for this year is the kids.”

For Landis, who plays Emmett, this show holds special significance. “The most exciting part for me is the chance to step into a bigger role,” said Landis. “It’s been an amazing opportunity to grow as a performer and to really dive into the character of Emmett.” In addition to embracing the challenge, the small cast has gained a sense of unity and close friendships, making the entire experience even more rewarding.
Audiences can see the musical on March 6-8 at 7:15 p.m., with a Saturday Matinee at 2 p.m at the Sue Henry Auditorium. The cast is eager to share the hard work they have put into the show and looks forward to the moment when they can finally perform in front of an audience. “It’s always so gratifying to hear the audience’s response after months of rehearsals,” said Landis. “Being up on stage is one of the best feelings in the world.”
Tickets have just arisen online and are available for purchase. Fans can go to gofan.co and claim their seats at this year’s musical.
